Whatcom County Fire District Seven is a combination Fire Department consisting of twenty-six career personnel, forty-three volunteer firefighters, three Fire Commissioners, thirteen support division responders, five fire cadets and three office staff members. There are six stations with in District Seven. The District also covers the City of Ferndale by a contractual agreement. Fire District Seven also covers Fire Disrict Seventeen's BLS and ALS transports by contractual agreement. District Seven maintains an auto aid agreement for North Whatcom Fire and Rescue, and Whatcom County Fire District 4. Area Served: seventy-five square miles, approximately twenty-two thousand residents bordered between Slater Road to Bay Road, Aldrich Road West to Puget Sound.
